All sounds originated from the Yamaha SY22 and SY35 digital synthesizers.

The SY22 (1990) and SY35 (1992) are effectively a hybrid of Yamaha's outgoing FM synthesizer technology with their new AWM sample-based engine, with 2 FM operators and 2 AWM oscillators. Both synths have a joystick which provides "vector control" to blend between the chosen waveforms in different ways, either by affecting their volume (Level) or their pitch (Detune).
